OUR HISTORY

Copper Creek Vizslas was created by my sister, Carol Vola, in the early 1990s after many years of involvement with Vizslas. The foundation bitch for the Copper Creek line was CH Dirigo's Dirty Dancing JH ("Darby), bred by Suzanne and Larry Gray of Dirigo Vizslas. Carol established her line with CH Copper Creek's Abbey Road JH ROM ("Abbey") out of Darby's 1992 litter with CH Willo Runn's Fieldway's Rocky JH CDX ("Rocky"). At the 1996 VCA National Events, under judge Marjorie Martorella, Abbey's daugher CH Copper Creek's Let It Be JH ("Libby") out of CH Szizlin's Soar'N Pfalcon JH ROM ("Pfalcon"), was handled to Winners Bitch & Best of Winners from the Bred-By-Exhibitor Class by her breeder/owner, Carol Vola. Three years later, Carol tragically and prematurely died from an aneurysm. Carol's planned mating of Libby to DC/AFC Arsla and Auburn's Sunny Boy MH ROM ("Sunny Boy") was done posthumously, and from this litter came our first vizsla, CH Copper Creek CV's Whoanel'e JH ROM ("Nellie"), our "foundation bitch" from whom we have proudly continued the Copper-Creek line since 2000.   Patsy Dahlinghaus
